It runs OSPFv2 and LDP with a P-router over an IPv4-only core, and has an IPv4 IBGP session with another PE-router. The hosts are attached via IPv6-only links and communicate using IPv6 across the MPLS core. The validation test checks end-to-end IPv6 connectivity between Linux hosts attached to the PE-routers across a BGP-free MPLS core using 6PE.
